How it got started:

In December 2003, The Sapper Family, of Indianapolis, IN, would have their lives changed forever when news arrived that their father, Theodore Sapper was diagnosed with a brain tumor. On March 16 2004, just over 3 months after his diagnosis, Theodore was lost to the Sapper family due to a glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) brain tumor.

Moved by his passing and the knowledge that over 50,000 people per year are affected by brain tumors, the Sapper Family decided to raise funds and awareness for brain tumors and the families that it affects.

Working with their friends and community as a whole, they created the Annual "Head for the Cure" 5K Run/Walk to benefit the American Brain Tumor Association.

Join us as we make a difference in the lives of many! The 6th Annual Head for the Cure will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010

Time: Registration - 7:30 am; Event Start - 9:00 am.

Two Events: Sign up for either the 5K fun run/walk or the competitive & timed run/walk. Both events will occur simultaneously.

Entry Fee/Registration: Sign up for either event. Both events will occur simultaneously.

5K Fun Run/Walk $20

5K Competitive Run/Walk $20

(Children 18 and under in the fun run are free but will not receive a T-shirt)

Online registration is available, or you can register by clicking here, printing the entry and mailing it directly to the address provided. Pre-registered 5K Runners and Walkers receive event T-shirts and race packet goodies. (Late registrants signing up after May 4th and on race day are not guaranteed a T-shirt or the correct size shirt!). All participants receive post-race refreshments and a chance to win door prizes.
