December 15, 2013: Planning is well under way for this year’s fundraiser for the American Brain Tumor Association. Please pencil in Saturday June 21, 2014 as the date for our 10th annual event. We have appreciated the Carmel Indiana parks department working with us all these years to host a safe and quality event for everyone. We had around 75 participants at our first event and West Park was a perfect location for us. However with our continued growth we have decided that a new location is better to serve our participant growth which exceeded 900 individuals each of the last two years. It is currently planned to start and finish the 2014 event at Creekside Middle School located at 126th street and Shelbourne Rd just a short distance from West Park. We are working on a new course this year between 5 and 6K (3.1 to 3.7 miles) and were hoping to include part of West Park in our route. We look forward to you helping us make our 10th annual event special..
This fun, family oriented fun walk/run will be held on Saturday, June 21th, 2014. The event will take place at Creekside Middle School in Carmel, IN
The goal of the day is to raise awareness and research funding for the American Brain Tumor Association. The ABTA is a not-for-profit, independent organization. Not affiliated with any one institution, they serve individuals globally and award funds to researchers throughout the United States and Canada.

June 7, 2013: Online registration is closed. Based on pre-registration, we are expecting record number of participants tomorrow. Overflow parking is available at University High School just across the street from the West Park entrance. Expect the parking inside West Park to be full by 7:30 or earlier. Feel free to enter West Park if you need to drop off anyone closer to the activities before parking at University High School .

June 10, 2012: A huge thank you to all our volunteers, individuals and team participants that made the 8th annual Head for the Cure a big success! The early estimate of our donation to the ABTA should be in the $34,000 to $36,000 range. The date for the 2013 event will be posted soon. Thanks again and see you again next year. We are still accepting online donations for the 2012 event.

May 29, 2012: Online registration will close Wednesday June 6th at midnight. Event day registration will open at 7am, event starts 8:30am

May 11, 2012: Advanced registration is ahead of the record crowd we had in 2011. Plan to arrive early for parking inside West Park. Overflow parking will be at University High School located on the south side of 116th street, directly across the street from the Park.

May 23, 2011: Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers, individuals and team participants that made the 7th annual Head for the Cure a huge success! Another sunny and clear Saturday morning brought us record participation with 786 registered runners and walkers (182 in the competitive/timed division). The early estimate of our donation to the ABTA should be in the $32,000 to $34,000 range. The date for the 2012 event will be posted soon. Thanks again and see you again next year. We are still accepting online donations for the 2011 event.

March 4, 2011: Create your own Team online! New for this year! We will be adding the capability for you to create your own personal Team support page, set fundraising goals and get your family and friends involved in the event. We anticipate having the Team page and general online registration operational next week.
